    Worked great a lot of work to install. One recommendation is that you get the spring clamp or else it is near impossible to install the spring. Great product just follow directions

    It is a good hinge, but it is a PITA to pull the old ones off and install these. My only complaint with the hinge is the spring was so strong when I tried to close the door I thought I might break the door where the new hinge bolts to it. So I just left the spring off. You will need to cut off the old welds, which you will need to drill holes in the hinge plate in order to find the spot welds. I had heard that there is a little mark to show where the welds are on the plate, and on my truck the marks were there but the spot welds were not. Then you have to either drill out the spot welds or cut the hinge plate off (I drilled out all but one plate and then got fed up and cut the last one off with a sawzall blade behind the plate. (you will have 4 total for one door, two on the body and two on the door). Bolting the new hinge on is pretty easy, and they have a neat wire that holds the bolts in order to pull them through.     I bought this a while ago to replace a bad roller pin on my truck. As it turns out it isn't very easy to replace just that pin as you need to remove the door to do so and this whole hinge kit requires you to remove the the door as well. On top of that you have to drill out some welds and I beleive have to take off some of the door trim and gain access to under the dash to insert bolts to hold the new hinge in place. That's why I have not gotten around to it yet! I did read somewhere that if you do under take this it is easier if you use something like an engine lift to hold the door up that way you don't have to unhook all of the wiring from the door?I will try and do this soon as I am getting tired of the door being able to swing around at will when opened, and I will try to update my review.Oh also the spring is not included in the kit and are a pain to put back in. There is a spring compressor out there but will run you $10-20, I was able to use a pry bar...
