    It works great on my 1986 BMW 535i 5 speed manual. Easy to install. Make sure you bleed the system using the bleeder screw on top of the thermostat housing once you finish the installation. Don't fret if your temperature gauge always shows as running cool, these cars usually do show this. You should check your various coolant sensors if you are worried about that.Happy motoring!

    Thermostat was a few more $ than the cheaper replacement parts but it was made by the same manufacturer that BMW uses and the fit was perfect. Saved a few hundred by doing the job myself.
