OEM replacement part for 528 Xi BMW. Perfect fit and with all the hardwareI did not want to risk generic parts. Easy to change, Dealer charges $100's and will discover other parts that they list. I had a quote for ~$3000 for a BMW that has less than 47,000 miles and I fixed for under $300 myself including the lower arm, the ball joint plus the Transmission pan and the belt + tensioner.

Changed these on an XC70. It made such a difference going from one that was completely work out to a new one. These are the OE replacements just are not in a Volvo box.

Advanced level of technical skill, with an advanced level of equipment. This product was about half of what I would of paid from any other parts place and was the SAME brand. WORTH IT

An exact match to the OEM part. I rented a ball joint press at the local auto parts store and replaced the joint in less than 2 hours. It is worth it the replace ball joints in pairs. Now the steering is precise, and noise and rattles over bumps is reduced. This is the second time I replaced these parts and got 50,000 miles out of them. I also drive my car at high performance driving events 4 times per year with a car club where this part takes some abuse.

Like many have said already, these ball joints are a replacement part for the E36 balljoints. I replaced the ball joints in my 98' E36 M3 control arms with these and they are by all accounts the exact same as the OEM parts that were already in there. You will need two of these if you are replacing the control arm ball joints. This one is for the ball joint that connects to the front spindle. You will also need to press out your old ones (using a hydraulic press) and press in the new ones. Do not buy replacement control arms (unless yours are bent), buy these and spend half as much to get fresh control arms. These will work on the E36 3-series including 95 and 96-99 M3's. Remember to buy the correct FCAB for your year. 95 M3 uses offset FCAB because the control arm geometry is different than the 96-99 M3.

These work great as a replacement for an E36 m3 (96-99) control arm. A lot of people do not know this, but the M3 control arms ARE servicable. Press the old ball joints out, and press these things back in there.I would recommend the Lemforder unit over the Meyle model. The inner ball joint you should use is on AutoPartsWAY as well, and it is this link:
