Found this here on AutoPartsWAY. The local parts house wanted almost double the price, and still had to be ordered. Mine had failed to to the previous owner not changing their oil regularly, and the internal mechanism froze in advanced posistion. Once it was installed, it was like a new car with the strong low-end that it was supposed to have.

The product fitment guide from AutoPartsWAY says this product does not fit my 2005 F150 with a 5.4L 3V engine. That is wrong, according to Dorman, who manufactures this cam phaser: [...]This part will fit all Ford 5.4L 3V engines. Be aware that there was a 5.4L 2V engine used in 2004 and earlier models that does not have cam phasers (VVT), and so this product is not for that engine. This Dorman part is well known as a good replacement for the defective Ford OEM parts the engine was assembled with. Anyone replacing this should also replace the timing chain tensioners, as this is most likely the source of the problem. The tensioners used by Ford were defective and leaked oil (inside the timing cover) which reduces oil pressure to the upper engine. The phasers need 25 PSI of oil pressure minimum in order to function correctly. The leaking tensioners result in much less than 25 PSI to the phasers, and so they are damaged over time. A nice kit that includes the updated...
