metal plate with elastomer gasketing. fit well for my 2002 Nissan Altima 3.5L. metal plate is thick enough not to risk bending easily prior to installation (I inadvertently stored mine in a box with some other relatively bulky items prior to installation and feared it would kink... but it was fine after unpacking). -
