      This is the gasket for the 1998 Altima GXE. There are about 6 or 7 different exhaust systems for the Altimas. yes i said 6 or 7 WOW! I did alot of research to replace my exhaust system. mine only had 1 Caty. Convertor upstream. meaning it is attached to the Exhaust Manifold (which does have a tendency to crack. Not sure if it was recalled new Exhaust manifold costs about $70.00 on AutoPartsWAY). this seal or gasket ring goes from caty. convertor flange to the first exhaust pipe (Flex Pipe...which cost about $74.00 on AutoPartsWAY). my exhaust had 2 resonce mid pipe) chambers then the muffler.
