      this product along with the ast shift lever bushing brought my old shifter back to life. no more searching for gears.

      If you have a sloppy shifter in your 1985 - 1995 toyota pickup, this is what you need. The original rubber bushing breaks and falls into the transmission, getting chewed up like a grisly piece of steak. This causes a large gap around the business end of the shifter. Once that happens it is harder to get into the right gear, and grinding usually occurs. Unfortunately for me the previous owner likely drove like this for 100,000 miles so even with the bushing repair, I still grind in second. However, all other shifting feel is back to normal.Please note, this is for a 2WD standard 5speed, check to ensure this will also fit your 4x4 or 4speed 2WD.
