I just wanted to reiterate what others have said: Even though AutoPartsWAY Garage says this won't fit my 2005 Chrysler 300 (base w/ 2.7L V6), it is absolutely identical in length and markings to the original dip stick.Getting the old one out however was time consuming and frustrating! My OEM dip stick broke off about 1/4" below the top of the dip stick tube.

Imagine my surprise when I opened the hood on my wife's Audi to check the oil and found the top of the OEM dipstick gone. Gone, as in rotted, broken, and laying on the intake manifold in a crumbly pile of orange plastic. Well, after paying several hundred bucks every few years because the OEM plastic t-stat housing rots and starts to leak, I decided I wasn't going to pay Audi prices for something that was just going to rot and break years in few anymore. So, I bought the Dorman. Installation should have been a piece o' cake, but when I was removing what was left of the original dipstick, half of the dipstick tube came with it.(See my review of the Dorman 917-356 Dipstick Tube) Once the tube was replaced, though, the dipstick looks like it was born there.

Does what it is supposed to do...dips in and shows me the oil level. Very solid and well-constructed. Looks just like the OEM stick in every respect. Only one minor bugaboo...it does not enter the tube as smoothly as the old OEM stick. Maybe it is stiffer or something. I have tried various insertion angles. They all drag to a small degree. But since I only have to use it every month or so, it is not really a big deal.

Used to replace my broken dip stick on my 1998 Mazda 626 ES V6 and it was a direct fit! I compared it with the original and there were no differences except this one wasn't broken!

Glad I was able to find this. My stock one became brittle and started breaking apart. This one is identical, cheap, and not breaking. recommended replacement

This fit my 2006 Chrysler 300 AWD 3.5L V6. My old dipstick broke between the sealing O-ring and the finger loop. It took about 30 minutes to remove the dipstick tube to remove the old one and put it back together with basic tools.

The handle on the dipstick of my 2008 Dodge Caravan 3.8L snapped off at the O-ring groove, and a direct replacement wasn't available. I pressed out the pin that holds the handle on the blade with a small nail, and replaced it with the handle from this one. It works perfectly. I would love to see Dorman offer the handle alone.

My original dip stick started to crack under old age, saw this one online and figured i'd order it. Worked out perfectly, looks identical to the original.

Odd reason my oil dipstick broke at the base of the pull ring, come to find out that's common with dodge challenger/charger/300 v6's. I wouldn't suggest to tap and drill the remaining plastic piece left in the tube. I attempt such a thing and the dipstick fell further into the tube. Just remove the 2 15mm bolts connecting a bracket from the alternator to the passenger side cyclinder head and one 10mm nut holding the air intake plenum. No the hard part, wasn't able to just pull out the tube from the oil pan, probably because it's winter, and living on the east coast metal is subject to corrosion which made removing the tube a project. I had to use medium size vise grips gently grip the base of the tube and light tap with a hammer it came out fine. Removed the broken dipstick, clean tube and then applied oil to the tube oring and reinserted back into the oil pan.

Works perfect, it measures the oil and has a yellow handle. it stays in the oil pipe and does not fall out.

I had somehow managed to break the handle off the dipstick of my daughters '96 Civic. I purchased this and it was a direct fit and works great.

Good alternative to a pricy OEM replacement. Fit in the car perfectly, no issues getting it installed, and it arrived what seemed like almost as soon as I placed the order.

Even though the "AutoPartsWAY Garage" said this was not a match for this vehicle, multiple other sources online said it was when search by the same part number (Dorman 917-326).I got this to replace my OEM after the yellow pull ring broke off and was a bit of a PITA to remove. Once it was removed I was able to compare them side by side and there is no difference between the old and new parts. If your older dipstick is getting hard to remove I would suggest picking up a replacement BEFORE the yellow ring snaps off and save yourself a headache.

All particulars precisely like my original (broken) oil level stick for my dodge magnum. Metal appears to be quality stuff, level markings as well as twists in the stick itself mirror the original. Couldn't be happier.

Someone (prior to me purchasing my 1995 Tahoe) had used a dipstick from a different engine and it did not seal in the tube. I had put up with that for some time before looking for a product like this, being unable to find an OEM I decided on this dorman product and was pleasantly suprised to find that it was very close to the original that I have seen on other engines with the same style stick, the only reason it gets 4 instead of 5 is that the steel stick is thinner and thus more flimsy than an OEM one.
