      Does exactly what it is supposed to.. My only problem was that I put it on upside down, first, not realizing that there was an up or down side. Whoops.

      I don't see any need to spend the big $$ on this (essentially same) part offered by other retailers here on AutoPartsWAY or elsewhere on the web. It took me about 5 minutes to replace this clip on both back doors. Just take a picture of the installed one before you remove everything. I had an issue with replacing the spring...but that is not specific to this part.

      They go on fairly quickly, works good on my old style 99' Tahoe barn doors, you don't want to mess up the plastic housing for the pin. Maybe crimp the c-clip a bit before re-installing. I put some grease on the door striker bar that is engaged by the spring steel check straps. On the flip side of the product as shown in the stock photo it is re-enforced with small piece of steel tacked on to double up the thickness/strength. Dorman stuff is not bad for non-OEM.
