      These retainers do what they are supposed to do. For best results push them in hard (or make a small pinhole) where you want to put them before screwing them in. Also helps to stretch the fabric in between. Depending how bad your headliner is falling, you may need more than one pack.

      The retainers do an excellent job where I can find the proper backing. My vehicle is older and some of the backing material is not thick enough to screw the retainer into. Overall, they do a good job and I'm satified and glad I bought them.

      Worked well for my sagging headliner issue. The threads were a little difficult to get started, but installation was straightforward otherwise. I would recommend cutting a small hole or slit in the headliner fabric first because the tip of the screw isn't that sharp. It would be useful if the description included the number of retainers in the package (7). I would probably have purchased an extra package if I had this information.Correction: there are six (6) retainers per package.

      have to spray paint to match the color of head liner, like the other guy suggested. Good idea by the way. Other than no color options, screws are good.

      I used this on an old Jeep Cherokee. It worked quite well. You get a somewhat professional look if you pay close attention to placement. Installation is simple. Pull the headliner fabric from the center to each side, working front to back. You push a retainer through the fabric at the desired point and turn it like a screw into the fiberboard backing until it is tight fit -pretty simple. The package I used had 18 retainers. Plenty for a car. I could have easily used six more for an SUV. If your working with a minivan, you better buy 2 packs (36 pcs). The only color available that I know of is black. Most cars have gray, tan, or blue interiors. Get this, before I installed my set, I painted the heads of the retainers gray with testors model paint. It looks pretty good too. It isn't a perfect match but it looks better than black would have. Hey Dorman! Gray and tan retainers would be a good idea. -Ya Think?

      This is an inexpensive way to repair sagging headliners. The retainers are visible after the repair and are not too pretty, but they are a good alternative to an expensive headliner replacement - at least on an older car that isn't very valuable.
